SS Rajamouli’s RRR is bagging immense compliments right from its release. This NTR and Ram Charan starrer not only gained a lot of popularity in India but also in western countries. Now, creating another sensation, this magnum opus has been nominated for five Critics Choice Awards.
Interestingly, the Critics Choice Awards announced their 2023 nominations on Wednesday, and RRR got nominated for Best Picture, Best Foreign Language Film, Best Visual Effects and Best Song (Naatu Naatu), Best Director (SS Rajamouli).
The most noted thing is that in the Best Picture category, RRR, a pan-India blockbuster, will face off with Avatar: The Way of Water, Babylon, The Banshees of Inisherin, Elvis, Everything Everywhere All at Once, The Fabelmans, Tár, Top Gun: Maverick and Women, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.
Responding to this, Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram story to share the happy news and wrote: “Wow. Wow”
This periodic drama narrates a fictional tale set in the 1920s. The film also stars Shriya Saran, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Olivia Morris, Samuthirakani, Alison Doody and Ray Stevenson in key roles.
