Bollywood veteran actress Raveena Tandon impressed critics and cinephiles alike with her performances since her debut in 1991. The actress opened up about her friendships in Bollywood and who all are close to her in the industry.
Bollywood humorous actor Govinda who made his debut in Bollywood in 1986 soon became a close friend to Raveena Tandon in the industry. The actress splits out beans about her best friend and someone special she shares the friendship bond with is her co-actor in Dulhe Raja, Govinda.
Raveena Tandon talking about their friendship said, I’ve got a bunch of friends in the industry, from the enchanting Madhuri Dixit to the ever-graceful Shilpa Shetty, and the unforgettable Sridevi. But if I had to pick one ride-or-die, it would have to be the one and only Govinda, lovingly known as Chi Chi. We’ve always shared a deep love for music and dancing. My comic timing improved significantly because of Govinda.”
The actress further went on to recall her shooting experience with Govinda for the songs, Kisi Disco Mein Jaaye and Akhiyon Se Goli Maare. Even in dance collaborations, we were lightning fast and completed Kahi Disco Main Jaye in just one and a half days and Akhiyon Se Goli Mare in just one day.
Raveena and Govinda further went on to feature in several films together including their blockbusters Aunty No.1, Dulhe Raja, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, and Dulhe Raja among others. The actress said, their collaboration was fueled by energy and would sprinkle a healthy competition.
Govinda and Raveena Tandon are considered to be the best comedy pair of Bollywood especially in the 1990’s. Raveena appeared as a celebrity guest in India’s Best Dancer 3 for the dance diva special episode.
