Thalapathy Vijay is gearing up to shine on the big screen for Pongal. The first single from the upcoming release Varisu, “Ranjithame,” which was released earlier, achieved a new feat and went on to become an instant chartbuster. The song was composed by Thaman SS, penned by Vivek, and sung by Vijay and Manasi.
Another reason is the presence of Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna, which helped explain why the track became a blockbuster. The song will smash a new record on YouTube. The chemistry between the two actors, their flashy costumes, and their stylish moves sent their fans into a tizzy. The song has now clocked 99M views on YouTube. The song breaks the mark of 125M and counting.
Sri Venkateswara Creations (SVC) has bankrolled the project. Movie lovers are now eagerly looking forward to the film, which will hit screens on January 11, 2023, during Pongal.
The film is directed by Tollywood director Vamshi Paidipally. Besides Vijay and Rashmika, the film also has Prabhu, Sarath Kumar, Prakash Raj, Shaam, and Jayasudha, among others, essaying lead roles.
Varisu is Vijay’s Pongal outing after 2021 and marks Ace Tollywood producer Dil Raju’s debut in Kollywood. The project will have a box office clash with Ajith’s Thunivu, Chiru’s Waltier Veerayya, and Balaya’s Veerasimha Reddy.
