Right from its release, SS Rajamouli’s RRR has been unstoppable across the globe. The film was released in March 2022 and is achieving something new with each passing day. RRR has been garnering acclaim across the globe, with accolades and nominations at several prestigious awards shows.
The film’s catchy musical number, Naatu Naatu, was awarded the best original song, beating heavyweights like Taylor Swift and Rihanna. Accepting the award, composer MM Keeravani said he was thrilled by the track’s global success. One of India’s most expensive films ever, the dazzling action epic has been a huge box-office success – not just domestically but also in countries such as the US and Japan.
After winning the award the actors Ram Charan and NTR while speaking with the local media were questioned about what Marvel Characters they would like to play if given the chance. Both the actors showed their interest in the most famous duo in Marvel which are Captain America and Iron Man. They also added that we also have many superheroes in India and how about adding them to the Marvel Universe?
While RRR was nominated for two categories in Golden Globe Awards, the film didn’t win the Best Picture Award. The team and people from India had all their hopes in the Oscars. We need to wait a few more weeks to know the results.
