SS Rajamouli is the master storyteller of the Telugu film industry. Rajamouli initially started his career as an apprentice to the veteran film editor Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao and worked for him for 6 months. He also worked as an assistant director to Kranthi Kumar. Rajamouli made his debut as a director with a TV serial titled Santhi Nivasam under the production of K Raghavendra Rao.
Following this TV serial Raghavendra Rao later offered Rajamouli to direct Student No.1. Rajamouli initially planned to rope Prabhas as the lead role in this movie. But due to some reasons, Prabhas couldn’t be part of that movie. Later many suggested that rajamouli cast NTR for this role. But initially, he was not convinced about casting NTR. But after this movie, Rajamouli and NTR became best friends.
Rajamouli is the only director in Indian film to have had no failures in his career. Rajamouli directed 12 movies so far each and everyone one resulted in a blockbuster. Rajamouli not only made blockbuster movies but also increased the range of Telugu cinema. His visual presentation, master storytelling and emotional detailing were always guidance for the young and upcoming directors.
Rajamouli is the only director to give NTR the four biggest blockbusters in his career. Rajamouli also gave Prabhas global-level massive blockbusters with Bahubali duology. Even Ram Charan’s career was uplifted by Rajamouli’s Magadheera.
Every thirty years the idea of lifestyle changes. Rajamouli involves most of his family members in his film crew. His wife Rama worked as a costume designer for many of his films. Rajamouli’s father Vijayandra Prasad will be working as a screenwriter whereas his cousin MM Keeravani composed music for every one of his movie.
Now his excellence reached a global level with his latest global blockbuster RRR which impressed audiences from various nations and received more than 30 awards in different categories all over the world. With the winning of the 95th Oscar Rajamouli’s work will be widespread and he will be heard in every corner of the world which also expands the Telugu film industry globally.
