Rajamouli about Bahubali
It’s been eight years since the release of Baahubali: The Beginning, yet it continues to capture the interest of viewers. In line with the current trend of re-releasing movies, Baahubali is preparing for a theatrical re-release. However, this time it won’t be in India. The widely-loved Indian film will be presented as a part of the Film in Concert series at the Stavanger Opera House in Norway.
Rajamouli posted a photo on Twitter from Norway, along with director Raghavendra Rao and producer Shobha Yarlagadda. He mentioned in the caption, “I can’t forget the enchanting screening of #Baahubali: The Beginning at London’s Royal Albert Hall, which remains vivid in my memory. And now, we’re thrilled about another wonderful film concert screening of Baahubali-1 in Norway at Stavanger Opera House on August 18. The event will include a performance by the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra.”

For those unfamiliar with the details, Baahubali was showcased at London’s Royal Albert Hall in 2019, and it earned a standing ovation from the theatre audience. The screening was graced by the film’s cast, including Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, and Anushka Shetty. The film’s composer, MM Keeravani, and his ensemble also delivered a live performance during the event.
Baahubali: The Beginning marked a stunning beginning for Indian cinema’s global recognition. The movie garnered widespread praise and recognition from audiences worldwide. Notably, it achieved the remarkable feat of being the first Indian film to surpass the Rs 1000 crore milestone globally. The film shattered numerous records, emerging as the highest-grossing at the box office and even earning prestigious international awards.
Following Baahubali, SS Rajamouli made history once more with his latest release, RRR. Starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR, the film achieved a remarkable box office collection of Rs 1100 crores, securing its position as the top-grossing film. The international audience, particularly in the US and Japan, showed significant appreciation and backing for the movie. Notably, RRR’s hit song “Naatu Naatu” even earned the esteemed Oscars Award in the Best Song category.
