Ponniyin Selvan 2 which was released theatrically on 28th May is gaining huge collections at the box office. The film was directed by Mani Ratnam. The famous actors Vikram, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Trisha played the lead roles. PS 1 which was released last year gained a good response in Kollywood but not in any other industry. So, there were less expectations for the second part.
But to the surprise, PS 2 is getting a good response. The screenplay is clear and straightforward without any confusion, unlike the first part. Aishwarya Rai is getting appreciation for her acting as she played a dual role and did a fantabulous job. But the minus point is that PS 2 is also slow as the first part.
The makers of the film have announced that the film has grossed 200 crores net worldwide. Within just four days of release, the film has been gaining huge and it would increase even more. If this continues, PS 2 would beat Vikram movie which is currently at the 3rd spot with 247.50 crores net.
