Superstar Rajinikanth’s fans and Twitter users are demanding an apology from the ruling YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) in Andhra Pradesh. The hashtag #YSRCPApologizeRAJINI trended on Twitter with over 1.24 lakh tweets.
Meanwhile, YSRCP supporter and APFTDC Chairman Posani Krishna Murali have remarked that Rajini is a superstar only for Tamil Nadu. In a counter to senior producer Ashwini Dutt’s satires against the YS Jagan government for not presenting the Nandi Awards, Posani surprisingly dragged Megastar Chiranjeevi into the whole controversy.
“Rajinikanth is a Superstar only for the Tamils. We Telugu people also have a Superstar and his name is Chiranjeevi. Everyone knows the kind of close bond Chiranjeevi shares with YS Jagan. The CM respects Chiranjeevi on par with his father YS Rajasekhara Reddy,” Posani said. Whether or not Chiru or the Mega family members will respond to Posani’s comments remains to be seen.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is gearing up for the grand release of his next film Jailer for Diwali this year. The fans are worried that the ruling party in the state would create a hurdle for the film’s release just like how it did earlier for Vakeel Saab and Bheemla Nayak.
