Of late, there has been a trend of boycotting Bollywood, with Hindi films facing a boycott from most social media users.
This cancel culture has been growing, making it difficult for movie stars and celebrities to promote their films. Even the present SRK film Pathaan is facing the same issue. A few days back, Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha, alongside Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Raksha Bandhan, faced a severe Boycott trend on social media.
Finally, talking about this issue, popular actress Kareena Kapoor said, “I don’t agree with it at all.” She added, “If that happens, how will we entertain? How will you have joy and happiness, which I think everybody needs? Agar films nahi hogi toh entertainment kaisa hoga (What about entertainment if there are no films)?”
Kareena Kapoor’s remarks come amid calls to boycott Shah Rukh Khan’s much-awaited release Pathaan. The boycott trend is just growing as the days pass. It’s a scary situation for the movie makers and even the celebrities as it is having a lot of impact on Bollywood film collections.
