Speaking of how they became best friends, Parineeti revealed in an interaction that their friendship rooted from a misunderstanding. When Sania Mirza was asked in an interview which Bollywood actress she would choose for the lead of her biopic, she named Deepika Padukone and Parineeti. And then it occurred to her that Deepika has a congested schedule, and then said, “Parineeti is relatively free so she could do it.”
When the interview went viral because of her statement, Mirza realised that it was interpreted and immediately called Parineeti to clarify that she didn’t mean to humiliate her, and that’s how they became friends for life.
