The Padma Awards 2023 were distributed by the Indian government on the eve of the 74th Republic Day. President Draupadi Murmu has presented 106 Padma Awards this year, including 3 duo cases. Music composer MM Keeravani, who composed the song ‘Naatu Naatu’, received the Padma Shri from President Murmu. Keeravani earlier won the Oscar for the song. Meanwhile, KGF actress Raveena Tandon had a wonderful time at the Second Investiture Ceremony of the Padma Awards 2023, held on Wednesday at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. President Draupadi Murmu awarded her Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award, at a gilded ceremony.
The actress shared a string of photos and she also shared a picture with ‘RRR’ director SS Rajamouli, who was dressed in a crisp white shirt. She captioned her post, “A day of love and celebrations.”On receiving the award, Tandon said, “Honoured and grateful. Thank you so much, Government of India, for acknowledging my contributions, my life, my passion and my purpose — cinema and the arts, that allowed me to contribute, not only to the film industry but beyond. I thank all those who guided me through this journey of Art and Craft of Cinema — all those who held my hand through it, and all those who watched me from their place above. I owe this to my father.”
