Here are my early Oscar 2024 predictions! First up, Best Picture. The list is based on public interest.
1. Maestro – Netflix
The biographical drama film centers on the relationship between American composer Leonard Bernstein and his wife, Felicia Montealegre, and director Bradley Cooper.
The film will definitely win multiple Oscars at the Oscars Awards 2024.
2. Barbie – Amazon Prime Video
The fantasy film director Greta Gerwig follows Barbie, who suffers a crisis that leads her to question her world and existence. The film is the first female director film to enter the billion-dollar club.
3. Oppenheimer – Amazon Prime India and HiiTv
The Biographical film directed by Christopher Nolan based on the American theoretical physicist credited with being the “father of the atomic bomb” for his role in the Manhattan Project, World War II.
4. Killers of The Flower Moon -Apple TV
It’s an epic Western crime thriller directed by critically acclaimed Hollywood filmmaker Martin Scorsese based on the book of the same name. The film was scrneed at Cannes Film Festival and received standing ovation.
5. Anatomy of Fall – Amazon Prime Video
The French courtroom drama thriller film directed by Justine Triet. The film received acclaim from critics, who praised Triet and Hüller, and it has sold over one million admissions in France.
6. Poor Things – Netflix
The black comedy fantasy film directed by Yorgos Lanthimos is based on the novel of the same name.
7. American Fiction – Netflix
The American comedy-drama film written and directed by Cord Jefferson follows a frustrated black novelist’s life of racism.
8. Past Lives – Netflix and HiiTv
This is a romantic drama film written and directed by Celine Song and follows the relationship between two childhood friends.
9. The Holdovers – Netflix
The American comedy-drama film written and directed by Alexander Payne follows the life of a new English teacher.
10. The Colour Purple – Warner Bros
The American musical coming-of-age period drama film directed by Blitz Bazawule and bankrolled by Steven Spielberg. The film follows the life of an American black woman and is set to hit theatres on 25th December.
