Netflix has had a successful year across multiple films and series. Following the success of Scoop, Netflix into a long-term partnership with national award-winning director Hansal Mehta for more web series like Scoop.
Scoop is a Hindi crime drama series created and directed by critically acclaimed filmmaker Hansal Mehta which is based on the real-life story of Journalist Jigna Vora who was accused of the murder of reporter Jyotirmoy Dey. Scoop rose to the number one spot in Netflix’s top 10 list in India and Bangladesh upon its debut. The series received positive reviews from critics who praised its performances, direction, and screenplay. His directorial film includes Shahid, Citylights, Aligarh, Simran, Scam 1922, and Omerta.
Taking this collaboration forward, Hansal Mehta will create multiple series for Netflix in the coming years. The six episodes of the series are nothing but a delight to binge-watch.
