After several years, Nayantara is seen promoting high for her recent film Connect. Bankrolled by her husband Vignesh Shivan, the film hit the big screen on December 22, on the occasion of Christmas 2022, and is bagging mixed reviews and responses.
However, marking the lady superstar’s craze, the film is inching closer to collecting Rs 5 crores at the box office. Now, the latest buzz is that the makers have now sold their streaming rights to a leading OTT platform. As per the reports, OTT giant, Netflix has acquired the digital rights of Nayan’s Connect. However, the release date remains under wraps as of yet as an official announcement from Netflix or the film’s makers are still awaited.
Besides Nayantara, the film also stars Anupam Kher, Sathyaraj, and Vinay Rai in prominent roles. The horror thriller film, directed by Ashwin Saravanan, opened to a mixed reaction from film critics as well as the masses. It marked Nayanthara’s second collaboration with the filmmaker after the 2015 film Maya which was released as Mayuri in Telugu. The director scored a hit with his past outing Game Over also, starring Taapsee.
