The time when the world found out Sushant hung himself was probably the darkest phase of our lives. Many of his young fans committed suicide, deeply shaken by his death. However, while he was here, he blessed us with a blockbuster movie, playing another great personality – MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. We all remember the entry of Kiara Advani as Sakshi and all the superhit songs that we still groove to.
First released in 2016, this is a biopic based on our Mahi Paaji, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the captain of the Indian cricket team for 10 long years. The widespread of the movie in turn paid great tribute to Dhoni’s life before success, his struggles, his family, and his love life. Songs like Besabriyan, Jab Tak, Kaun Tujhe, and Phir Kabhi were icing on the cake.
This May 12th, it is all set to re-enter the big screen in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The poster says ‘Mahi Phir Aa Raha Hai’ (Mahi is coming again), celebrating the legacy of India’s finest cricket captain. Directed by Neeraj Pandey, this movie touched a box office collection of 133 crores back in the day.
Coming back to Sushant, our memories go back to ‘Manav’ from ‘Pavitra Rishta’ on our TV screens every evening. He made his grand entry in Bollywood Kai Po Che, giving us hit after hits ever since – Shuddh Desi Romance, Kedarnath, Chhichhore, PK, Raabta, and Kedarnath to name a few.
Hopefully, this movie will again lead the game once again, this time also filling theatre seats with people who miss and love Sushant and wish to see him acting as if he had never left.
