After the massive success of the slice-of-life film “Life In A Metro,” anticipation was high for its sequel. To meet the eager expectations of the audience, the film’s makers, producer Bhushan Kumar and filmmaker Anurag Basu, decided to create a sequel while preserving the essence of the original. Initially titled “Metro… In Dino,” the sequel was slated for release in theaters on December 8, 2023.

However, there has been a recent update regarding the release date of “Metro… In Dino.” The film is now scheduled to hit the screens on November 29 of this year. This announcement was made via T-Series’ social media handles, accompanied by the caption, “Get ready for a journey through urban romance like never before! #Metro… इन दिनों in cinemas on 29th November 2024.”
Similar to its predecessor, “Life In A Metro,” “Metro… In Dino” will feature an ensemble cast. The film boasts a star-studded lineup including Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Ali Fazal, and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
In terms of music, Anurag Basu has entrusted Pritam with the responsibility for “Metro… In Dino.” Pritam, known for his exceptional musical compositions, has previously collaborated with Basu on various successful projects such as “Gangster,” “Life in a… Metro,” “Barfi!,” “Jagga Jasoos,” and “Ludo.” Serving as a standalone sequel to Anurag Basu’s 2007 hit “Life in a Metro,” the film will follow in its predecessor’s footsteps. The original film featured a stellar cast including Kangana Ranaut, Shiney Ahuja, Shilpa Shetty, Dharmendra, Irrfan Khan, and Kay Kay Menon in pivotal roles.

Like its predecessor, “Metro… In Dino” will feature music composed by the highly talented Pritam Chakraborty, while Anurag Basu will helm the directorial duties. The film’s production will be a collaborative effort between Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Anurag Basu, and Taani Basu.
