Sam Bahadur is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language biographical war drama film based on the life of India’s first field marshal, Sam Manekshaw. It is directed by Meghna Gulzar, best known for Raazi, Thalvar and Chhapaak and produced by Ronnie Screwvala under RSVP Movies.
Sam Bahadur stars Vicky Kaushal in the title role alongside Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Neeraj Kabi, Edward Sonnenblick, and Zeeshan Ayyub. Makers released the first teaser recently. The film seems promising, with the best screenplay and director. Vicky Kaushal’s body transformation into Sam Manekshaw is commendable. He nailed the role with utmost perfection. His screen presence in the film is fantastic as we can only see Sam Manekshaw .
The film is so authentic to the real story. This is called raw filmmaking. As usual, Meghna Gulzar did an exceptional job. The story is on point, with no other agenda, which is commendable. She always comes up with an inspirational story, which we deserve. The film is going to be another masterpiece from Meghna Gulzar. The film is scheduled to be released on 1 December 2023.
