Shah Rukh Khan’s maiden collaboration with acclaimed director Raj Kumar Hirani, Dunki, is set to hit theatres on December 21. The makers have unveiled its trailer today, and it begins with Shah Rukh Khan’s Hardy’s captivating narration of his story, how he met his friends and their dream of providing a good life for their family.
Let us see the characters of Dunki, from Hardy, played by Shah Rukh Khan, to Sukhi, portrayed by Vicky Kaushal. They introduced Shah Rukh Khan as Hardy, narrating how he landed in a Punjab village where he made friends who were as inspired as him to go to London.
Shah Rukh Khan calls his friends “Char Ullu De Patthe”. We will see Shah Rukh Khan as Hardy when he was young and aspirant to old Hardayal Singh Dhillon, who wants to prove his country.
Vicky Kaushal will be seen in a special cameo essaying the role of Dunki, an English enthusiast with little knowledge of the language. Taapsee Pannu will play SRK’s love interest in Dunki, who is introduced as SRK’s Girl Wali Friend.
Dunki, helmed by Rajkumar Hirani, will hit the theatres on December 21 under Red Chillies Entertainment. This will clash with Prabhas’s Salaar.
