Hollywood legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese got candid about his iconic films in a recent conversation with GQ. The director revealed exciting details about his upcoming Killers of the Flower Moon.
The critically acclaimed director said,” Killers of the Flower Moon has taken six years. We didn’t intend to take it six years, but I was making ”The Irishman” and then there was COVID. I was given the book and read the book, and I was very excited by that. I didn’t know how to go about it. We got to sit down with some friends, and Leo was there. It was good, but there was something about it. Then Leo came to me and said, where’s the real heart of this picture?”. I said the heart is with this guy, Earnest, and his wife, Molly. The only problem is we don’t know anything about Ernest. The relationship between Ernest and Molly and the betrayal. So we came up with the idea of what if instead of coming from the outside in, what if we go from the inside out?
Killers of the Flower Moon was screened at the Cannes Film Festival and received critical acclaim with a standing ovation, and the film is all set to hit theatres on 20 October 2023 in the United States.
