Veteran filmmaker Mani Ratnam to unite with the veteran legendary actor for his upcoming film. The director and actor who worked formerly on the cult classic Nayakan in 1987 announced their collaboration last year.
Kamal Haasan will reunite with the Bombay director after a 36-year gap. The project will be marked as Kamal Haasan’s 234 film so for now it’s tentatively called KH234. This project also boasts a star cast like Trisha in the female lead along with Jayam Ravi, and Dulquer Salmaan in talks to play pivotal roles.
If this star cast is confirmed, then this film will be the third-time collaboration between Trisha and Kamal Haasan. Even as we await the confirmation of the cast officially, reports suggest that the film will go on to the floors next year.
Jayam Ravi and Dulquer Salmaan will be working with Mani Ratnam for the second time followed by Ponniyin Selvan and OK Kanmani while with Kamal Haasan, it’ll be their first collaboration on the big screen.
This yet-to-be-titled project which is touted to be a thriller is written and will be directed by Mani Ratnam.AR Rahman who won an Academy Award will compose the music and Background score for KH234. This project will be produced jointly by Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam, Siva Ananth, and G Mahendran under Raaj Kamal Films International and Madras Talkies.
