Mani Ratnam: The First-ever Indian Film Maker To Do This!

Mani Ratnam’s upcoming film Ponniyin Selvan: 2 is set to be launched in cinemas worldwide in a grand manner on April 28 and the buzz for the epic historical action adventure film directed by Mani Ratnam based on acclaimed Tamil writer Kalki Krishnamurthy’s novels of the same title is getting bigger by the day.
The latest news from Lyca Productions, suggests that the film will be released in a 4DX arrangement. This will reportedly be the first South Indian film released in this special format.
The release format is usually used for Hollywood films. 4DX is nothing but an s subsidiary of the South Korean cinema chain CJ CGV, which allows movies to be augmented with various forms of practical effects that include strobe lights, motion seats, and simulated snow. This technology aims to deliver an immersive cinematic experience appealing to more than one of the senses.
This exhibition model presents the film in stereoscopic 3D and 2D formats.
Produced by Lyca Productions in association with Madras Talkies, the film has music by Academy Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman.
