Recalling one incident that happened with Anushka, Lakshmi said, “I give a lot of respect to the guests who come to my show.” Once, I invited Anushka as a guest to my show. She confirmed that she would come. But Anushka got stuck somewhere in the promotions of the “Bhagmati” movie and didn’t get in touch with me for two days before the show. I started to get confused and wondered whether she would come to the show or not. I sent flowers to her house. I called her best friends. I tried to meet her in many ways. When Anushka came back home, her phone was full of my messages.
“Anushka later called me and asked me why I was that tense, though she had promised she would come,” I said I was confused, and that’s why I did it. But I feel this is how guests should be treated when we host the show. I always prefer to receive them and call them in a very respectful way. There are two or three people like Rana, Rakul, and Taapsee who come to my show even if I invite them in a very casual manner. But the rest are not like that. “So, I always try to treat them with the utmost respect,” she added.
