Alaya F Breaks Silence on Bade Miyan Chote Miyan Box Office Failure: “Let People Get Angry

AlayaF Breaks Silence on Bade Miyan Chote Miyan Box Office Failure: “Let People Get Angry”. Alaya F, the young and talented Bollywood actress, recently opened up about the disappointing box office performance of her last film, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. The action drama, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, starred Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff alongside Alaya.

In an exclusive interview, Alaya candidly discussed her role in the film and the mixed reactions it received. She portrayed the character of an IT specialist, Dr. Parminder Bawa (Pam), in the larger-than-life action genre. Here’s what she had to say:

A Risky Role

Alaya admitted that her character in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan was over-the-top. She explained, “My character was viewed in two ways. Either people thought that she was the most irritating character to ever grace an action film, or they thought she was the most endearing character. I chose to play the character in a certain way, fully aware that she wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea.”

The Audience’s Reaction

“At one point before the film’s release,” Alaya revealed, “I had a moment where I thought, ‘Oh my god, what if people actually end up hating this character?’ But one thing I knew was that the audience couldn’t miss this character. You can’t ignore what Alaya was playing because she was so out there. It was very over-the-top. I was just happy that I received visibility. Let people send me some hate and get angry (laughs). That also works. And anyway, the fact remains that every film has its own journey and fate.”

Box Office Numbers

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, made on a reported budget of ₹350 crore, faced a tough battle at the box office. Despite the star-studded cast and high expectations, the film collected only around ₹60 crores after three weeks. The scathing reviews and mixed audience reactions contributed to its underperformance.
