Maisie Williams is speaking up about her experience playing Arya Stark in the HBO series Game of Thrones at a young age. In a new interview with The Sunday Times, Maisie Williams revealed that appearing in the fantasy drama gave her a ‘lot of discomfort’ and left her feeling confused for a long time and talked about her role as Arya Stark in the enormously acclaimed show Game of Thrones.
In an interview, Maisie stated, “I was so lost for so long, and I knew I was, and when I couldn’t nail down what I felt my identity was inside that, it made me very uncomfortable. Now I feel a lot more at ease in my flesh. It’s difficult for me to return and discuss how difficult it was because I believe it’s over.”
She went on to say that she wishes to give guidance to other young performers who work in the same industry and may face similar pressures in the spotlight. “I dive within myself to try and find something that I think would be incredibly valuable. I have no idea.”
