Member of Parliament Jaya Bachchan is up for her fifth Rajya Sabha term. In a recent election affidavit filed by the MP declared her combined wealth of Rs 1,578 crores with husband and veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan.
As per a report by India Today, the actress-turned-politician declared her net worth for the financial year 2022-23 is Rs 1,63,56,190, while Amitabh’s net worth was Rs 273,74,96,590 for the same year.
According to the source Jaya and Amitabh Bachchan’s combined movable property is valued at Rs 849.11 crores, with immovable property amounting to Rs 729.77 crore. The estimated total combined property is Rs 1578.88 crores.
While Jaya’s bank balance is reported to be Rs 10,11,33,172, Amitabh’s is Rs 120,45,62,083. The combined bank balance is Rs 130, 56,95,255, approx Rs 130 crores.
Their possessions include Jaya’s jewelry worth Rs 40.97 crore and a four-wheeler valued at Rs 9.82 lakh. Amitabh Bachchan also owns jewelry worth Rs 54.77 crore and a fleet of 17 vehicles, including two Mercedes and a Range Rover, collectively worth Rs 17.66 crore. Total combined assets Rs 1832.66 crores exclusively other investments in the companies.
The couple’s combined assets include property acquired through various sources, with Jaya accruing wealth from endorsements, her MP salary, and professional fees, while Amitabh’s income is from interest, rent, dividends, capital gains, and revenue generated by a solar plant, added the report.
Amitabh Bachchan, an angel investor also invested in Just Dial, Stampede Capital, Ziddu, Eduisfun, Macmersise Celfie DP Wires, Meridian Tech, and multiple other companies. Last year GQ India reported that Amitabh Bachchan had a net worth of Rs 3180 Crores and is earning from seven income sources.
