The best South Indian Film of 2023 title goes to Thalapathy Vijay’s action thriller Leo. Pinkvilla had asked fans to choose their favorite film of 2023 from a list of 13 nominees across four industries. Fans chose Leo, a film starring Lokesh Kanagaraj and Thalapathy Vijay, as their favorite.
Needless to say, the films released this year pushed the boundaries of “conventional” cinema while also breaking several stereotypes. They delved into various themes and topics while pushing the technical boundaries of filmmaking, all to entertain the audience. Keeping this in mind, Pinkvilla asked fans to vote for their favorite film of the year from a list of 13 contenders.
Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan II, which starred Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Trisha Krishnan, Karthi, Sobhita Dhulipala, and many others, was among the nominees for Best South Indian Film of 2023.
Dasara, a film directed by Nani, was also nominated. Srikanth Odela directed the film, which starred Keerthy Suresh, Dheekshith Shetty, Shine Tom Chacko, and several others in pivotal roles, and told the story of a period-action drama.
