Kung Fu Panda 4 review: Is the fourth installment worth the eight years wait?

Kung Fu Panda 4 movie reviews

The much anticipated martial arts comedy sequel Kung Fu Panda 4 has hit the Indian theaters today to mixed reviews. Check out for movie review here.

Kung Fu Panda 4 , produced by DreamWorks Animation and released by Universal Pictures, took eight years to develop. The extended wait prompts the question: Is the new film worth it? I would say just about. It’s far from the greatest of the franchise (that would be one or two), but it’s a respectable addition to the brand, an extra dumpling in the bamboo steamer.

Dream Works brought the Kung Fu Panda franchise back in 2024, eight years after the last installment of the original trilogy. Jack Black‘s return as Po after almost a decade meant that there was plenty of anticipation for Kung Fu Panda 4.

The Indian Expresee reviews the film; Jack Black and Awkwafina are a hoot but Viola Davis is surprisingly ineffective, failing to evoke the irresistible charisma that marks the best of villains.

The Hindu reviews the movie ,Jack Black’s timing is immaculate as ever, while his chemistry with Awkwafina has a jolly zing making the roly-poly panda’s fourth screen outing all kinds of summer family fun.

India Today reviews, ‘Kung Fu Panda 4’ has released, featuring new characters and continuing the story of Po, the loveable, food-obsessed panda. The film maintains its appeal to both adults and children, with colourful visuals and exciting action scenes.
