Among his fans and his peers in the film industry, actor Manoj Bajpayee has earned a reputation as a skilled artisan. He is so well-respected for his job that he was mortified when Tabu and Katrina Kaif repeatedly stroked his feet. While Katrina and Bajpayee co-starred in the 2010 movie Rajneeti, they had no scenes together. Tabu and Bajpayee have collaborated on films like Missing (2018) and Dil Pe Mat Le Yaar (2000).
In 2010, Bajpayee was asked to take a photo with the whole cast of Prakash Jha’s movie Rajneeti at the film’s premiere. At this point, Katrina approached him, caressed his feet, and praised him, saying, ‘Aap superb actor hain (You are a superb actor).’ This left the actor embarrassed and he hugged Katrina.
Speaking on the incident, Bajpayee stated, “Katrina ne toh mitti paleed kar di (she just left me embarrassed),” during his most recent appearance on Rajat Sharma’s Aap Ki Adalat. Before the entire press, she touched my feet. She did it as a way to appreciate me after seeing Rajneeti. She felt so overpowered. Despite not having any sequences together, we were nonetheless working together in the film. Though she was merely present, she thought, “I never realised that this man is performing like this in the movie.” She was therefore overjoyed.
