Nikhil Siddartha’s Karthikeya 2 is one of the most anticipated movies in July. The Chandoo Monteti’s flick has already gathered enough hype after the trailer’s release. Being the sequel to the superhit movie Karthikeya, the film has that mystical element surrounding the story. While Snakes and lord Karthikeya were the concepts of the first part, the sequel is based on the mystery surrounding Sri Krishna’s Dwaraka. Bollywood’s versatile actor Anupam Kher plays a key role in the film, and Anupama Parameswaran is cast as the lead female. The film is to be released on the 22nd of this month. But there are rumours that this date might be changed.
As per the reports from the distribution circles, Karthikeya 2 could be postponing its release date to accommodate a good release for Dil Raju’s Thank You movie. It’s already known that both Karthikeya 2 and Thank You’s release dates were announced for the same date of July 22nd. As Thank You don’t have a great hype around it, Dil Raju is hoping that a solo release might help the movie to pick up with word of mouth and requested the same from Karthikeya 2 makers. They readily agreed and are thinking of moving to August for their release, told the distributors. Even though this is a good gesture and favour, will this help Karthikeya -2 in any way? We have to wait and see.
