Nikhil Siddartha’s latest flick, Karthikeya-2, is postponed. The actor himself revealed this on Twitter. This comes as sour news to the fans and cinephiles who have been waiting eagerly to watch it in celluloid. At first, the movie’s actual release date is set for July 22nd, and the makers announced the date a long back. Yet, as Dil Raju postponed Chay Akkineni’s Thank You to 22nd from July 8th, Karthiekya -2 team has no chance other than postponing their movie. Dil Raju is said to have asked them to postpone so that Thank You can have a solo release. There was no official confirmation yet from the movie team but Nikhil’s latest tweet confirmed the postponement.
According to some trusted sources, tickets for Karthikeya 2 were sold out within 25 mins of opening in Leicestershire. The other places in the UK too are seeing a fast sale of tickets, it said. Nikhil responded to this tweet and apologized to those who had booked the tickets. “But sorry. The movie is not releasing on July 22nd.. but on August 1st week. Apologies to the Amazing people who booked tickets for the premiere show. Will get it refunded,” tweeted the actor. Karthikeya 2 stars Anupama Parameswaran in the lead role, while Anupam Kher, Srinivasa Reddy, and Viva Harsha are playing key roles.
