Actress Kareena Kapoor says that if her love ever wanes, she doesn’t see herself performing any more. Over two decades in the business, Kareena claimed she’ll be prepared to retire from acting the day she realizes she’s not looking forward to going to work.
Kareena said she hopes to have improved both personally and professionally since she made her acting debut in Refugee as a 19-year-old, but if there is one thing that hasn’t changed, it’s her passion for the craft. Kareena reiterated her desire to maintain “that excitement.”
“I feel like I should hang up my boots if I lose it. Because even at 43, the want to be on set and the desire to look directly into the camera still exist. But because I’m that kind of person, I know that if that day doesn’t come, I won’t go to work.
“I have a great deal of passion for everything I do. I have strong feelings about a meal I consume. When I’m with my pals or traveling, I’m passionate. I am that kind of person. Therefore, retirement is necessary if I ever realize I’m somehow losing that.
She responded, “Hopefully at 83 or 93, I don’t know! ” when asked if retiring is something she would think about. I want to keep working and continuing to do that.
The performer claimed that she had changed directions and was getting ready to make her digital debut with the Netflix movie Jaane Jaan. The Buckingham Murders, the upcoming film from director Hansal Mehta, will also be shown at the British Film Festival and could have a limited theatrical run in India later this year.
“I directed that movie. It is a little, English-style film that Hansal Mehta and I made. Everything is written in English. We therefore planned to show it at the festival first since it has a following, and then possibly in 60 to 70 special theaters in December so that people could view it because it’s unique. To keep reigniting, I’m trying new things right now. That’s also crucial, she continued.
