‘Kanguva’ digital rights sold for a whopping amount…deets inside

Suriya’s ‘Kanguva’ has set a new benchmark for Tamil cinema. Actor Suriya’s 42nd film Kanguva has broken records for it’s south OTT digital rights sold for whopping amount of 80 crores. According to producer of Studio Green, Gnanvelraja, Amazon Prime Video has bought south digital rights of the film. He also spoke about the deal for OTT rights becoming a benchmark for south Indian film industry and told to media about his plans on releasing the movie in 10 languages to recover from the budget spent on the project.

Adding to the topic, he said everything regarding movie will be released one after other. They’re already planning to release the movie teaser in June as fans are already frustrated about the long wait and are excited about the project. He also pointed out the reason for not sharing the poster of Suriya from the movie as five big movie stars are dubbing for his character in all regional languages and also the reason for the delay.

Right now movie is under shooting and has only completed about fifty percent of the project. Movie is based on the imagination of the movie director ‘Siruthai Siva’ upon incidents that happened back in 16th century. This upcoming movie is already making lot of noise since it’s first poster got released. It’s motion poster has  reached 25 million views with in a day of its release. Starring Suriya as lead it is one of the most anticipated movie that has lined up in Indian film industry. Disha Patani being the female lead of the movie is also making her debut into Tamil industry from Kanguva. Movie is going to hit theatres in 2024 in ten languages.
