Jessica Chastain, the talented Hollywood actress, is always vocal about her opinions and is getting candid about SAG AFTRA negotiations.

In a press conference, the interstellar actress said she was “incredibly nervous” to attend the 2023 Venice Film Festival amid the strike, even though she was approved to participate. Jessica detailed why she supports the union.

The Academy Award winner shared that though she feels “very, very lucky” to be an actress, there’s change within the industry that needs to happen. “We’re made to feel like we have to be quiet in order to protect future working opportunities,” Jessica told the audience. She hopes others keep supporting SAG AFTRA in its efforts to negotiate A.I. protections, fair wages, and streaming revenues.” We are often told and reminded how grateful we should be. That’s the environment that I think has allowed workplace abuse to go unchecked for decades.

Jessica was seen in Mexican-American drama film Memory written and directed by Michel Franco and will star in Mothers Instinct is an upcoming psychological thriller film Mothers Instinct ,directed by Benoît Delhomme.
