Jawan’s 2nd song releases
T-series brought to us the second song from SRK’s upcoming movie Jawan. After the first song Zinda Banda received massive praise, ‘Chaleya’, the new release is completely opposite to Zinda Banda when it comes to the music genre. Chaleya released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, named Chaleya, Hayyoda, and Chalona respectively. As of now, it’s already at 3 million views on YouTube.
Shah Rukh Khan has engraved his name on the books of Indian Cinema as the romance king and there’s no denying that. But after Jawan’s prevue, the audience was not expecting the movie to have any romance per se. Now that Chaleya is here, SRK’s fans are delighted to see him in a dreamy, cloud-nine romance song beside Nayanthara. Sung by Arijit Singh and Shilpa Rao, this is SRK’s second latest song with Shilpa Rao’s vocals after Besharam Rang in Pathaan.
Chaleya has an uncomplicated melody. The song is not anything extraordinary. The lyrics, the music, the vocals are kept simple and that’s the main attraction – there’s not a lot happening. Sometimes, sophistication is fancier than the fancy. Since Jawan is full of rapid action scenes and the script is fast-paced, making it hard to catch up with, Chaleya’s romantic muse in the middle is a great way to give the movie some space to breathe and balance out its pace. Nayanthara and SRK are looking gorgeous in their outfits and the romance is truly heart-eye worthy.
Anirudh Ravichander, who is handling the complete music in the movie has done a phenomenal job creating such versatile songs. To create a light song with soft music between a thriller suspense movie like Jawan, Anirudh has justified why he’s charged such a spiked amount for his music in Jawan. Atlee Kumar, the director, too, won everyone’s hearts with the prevue.
Starring Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Deepika Padukone and other talented artists, Jawan is releasing in theatres on September 7th, 2023.
