Jailer is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language action comedy film written and directed by Nelson and produced by Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures. It stars Rajinikanth, Shiva Rajkumar, Tamannaah, and Ramya Krishnan.
The film was officially announced in February 2022 with the working title Thalaivar169. The title “Jailer” was announced later in June. The regular shoot of this film was done between August 2022 and April 2023. The music for this film was composed by Anirudh Ravichander. This film is now scheduled to release on August 10.
Coming back to the topic, the first single from this movie will be unveiled in the second week of June, as of now. Currently, rehearsals are going on for a grand song with Tamannah under the Jaani master choreography. The entire shoot of this film will wrap up with this song. An audio launch is being planned at Nehru Indoor Stadium in July. Post-production work is happening in parallel.
On track for an August 10, 2023 release. Recently, the team unveiled a video with different superstars from different industries that went viral on social media. Nelson is the director of this film, who is renowned for his works like Doctor and Beast.
