Akshay Kumar is returning to thrill the audience with the social comedy 11 years after the success of Oh My God. In a recent interview, Akshay Kumar praised Oh My God 2 as one of the best works of his illustrious playing career in the Indian film industry. “It’s a burden to spin a franchise of something as adored as Oh My God 2, and the team is well conscious of all the audience expectations.
The second installment will also feature Akshay as a god, but this time, the god Shiva will be his avatar. The movie is about sex education in India and stars Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam in the key roles. Amit Rai is the director, and producers Ashwin Varde, Viacom 18, and Jio Studios are also involved. There has been discussion regarding Oh My God 2 going direct-to-digital on Jio Cinemas over the past few months.
This year, Akshay Kumar’s movie will be seen in theatres. The crew is already preparing the release schedule behind the scenes, and they plan to premiere their social comedy on the big screen this year.
