After Senior Ntr and Anr, the two eyes of the Telugu film Industry have slowed down in their career, Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Balakrishna, and Venkatesh have become the fab four of TFI. The industry thrived on these four pillars for four decades. As more and more fresh faces throng Tollywood, These aged seniors face tough competition. The veterans even have to adjust to the current generation’s interests, which is proving difficult. As we can see, Chiru, Nag, and Balayya face the dullest periods of their careers. They all have been in the Numero Uno position from time to time. But.. Venky was never on top of the pack. Even though he delivered back-to-back hits continuously and had the best success rate in heroes, he was never considered the number one position among the fab four. At last, it seems his time has come now.
If we see Venkatesh’s films from 2014, only Babu Bangaram and Venky Mama were average films. All his releases were successful, be it in theatres or OTT. Drushyam, Gopala Gopala, Guru, F2, Narappa, Drushyam 2, and F3 all have been blockbusters. Neither Chiru nor Nag nor Balayya have this track record at this time. Considering the families and ladies following for Venkatesh, it’s safe to say that he is in the number one position of the senior lot.

Balayya is unable to make a blockbuster without Boyapati. Chiru doesn’t seem to have the same energy or craze he has before the political journey. While these two are somewhat better, Nagarjuna is in the worst phase. He is even unable to sort out the scripts that suit him. Though he is doing out-of-the-box movies, all his experiments are bombing at the box office. For now, his hopes rely on Ghost. Let’s wait and see if these warhorses will be back in the race or not.
