The latest controversial film The Kerala Story is doing well at the box office. The film has done a business of around 56.72 crores within 5 days of its release. Meanwhile, lead actress Adah Sharma shared a few details about the success of the film and her role.
She said in an interview that she is very happy to see the success of the film. The film is being liked across the country. She said – The dreams I had for myself were so small. All these are the dreams of my loved ones for me, which are coming true. The awareness that the film has created will save the lives of many girls. The support we have received is huge. I am feeling grateful.
Adah Sharma also talked about her character in the interview. She said- I was told this story on the first day, and it was very exciting for me to read it and be involved in the shooting of the film. The story was about a naive girl who gets caught in the clutches of ISIS. Terrorism is dangerous, but someone had to tell the story.
Adah Sharma also said- Playing the role of Shalini Unnikrishnan has hurt me physically and emotionally. This character left scars deep in my soul and these wounds will not heal for life.
But it is a great pleasure to know that The Kerala Story is going to change many lives and to know that we have become the voice of many untold stories. It’s like a celebration for me.
