RRR’s Naatu Naatu has been the talk of the town for the past few months. The icing was when the song was performed live at Oscars 2023 with singers, Kaala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj. But before Jr NTR and Ram Charan were supposed to recreate the song at the prestigious stage. Initially, the plan was to have them both groove to the song. However, they backed out for multiple reasons.
Ram Charan in a recent interview talking about this said, “I was ready, I was 100 per cent ready to get that call but I truly don’t know what happened. But let’s not talk about it because the troupe who did it there, were fantastic and they did a better job than us. I have done it many times, and at many stages at different awards and interviews. So now, it is for us to relax and enjoy the show and (watch) somebody else perform for India… I feel it is no longer our song, it is India’s song, it is junta’s (people) song, they have taken us to the (Oscars) carpet,”
While Naatu Naatu’s live performance was one of the highlights of Oscars 2023, fans surely missed Jr NTR and Ram Charan’s performances. It is now learnt that the two stars were originally supposed to perform on the Oscar stage. But, the two backed out of the performance.
