Samantha Ruth Prabhu, the Oo Antava sensation was recently seen with Varun Dhawan making the Indian adaptation of Citadel series. She has gone on a 6-month-break due to her health. Reports say that Samantha Ruth Prabhu will incur a 12 crore loss because of the gap.
Some time back, she had posted a photo from the church, praying for her recovery and health, that’s when it was revealed that she is undergoing treatment for her autoimmune condition myositis in the US.
Because of the Shaakuntalam release and hectic shoots for Kushi and Citadel India, Samantha wasn’t able to focus on her health for a whole year. To give her body the much deserving rest, she’s off for half a year.
Revolving around myositis, it is an autoimmune disease that weakens muscles over time. Unfortunately, the cause and cure both are not known to science yet. Treatment can only reduce its effect and elongate one’s lifespan.
One of the biggest, most frontal symptoms of myositis is extreme muscle pain. It’s obvious that this symptom can severely affect one’s schedule and daily routine, especially for an actress who has to constantly travel and go in and out of cities and countries, which takes a toll on one’s immunity even without critical medical conditions like these.
With a hectic year like Samantha’s, not taking a much needed break can worsen her situation. At that point, the ‘loss’ doesn’t matter, the money doesn’t hold importance. Where there’s life, there’s possibilities to grow and glow.
