Heeramadi was limited Hindi series written by critically acclaimed filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and directed only one episode of the series and the other episodes are directed by his associates.
SLB brings his majestic signature flair to the stories of love and betrayal in the lives of courtesans in pre-independence India. He is overseeing the entire project and recently watched a few rushes of scenes and was unimpressed. SLB who is known for his keen attention to detail has found certain scenes which were shot by his associates unappealing and has decided to reshoot personally. The cast of Heeramadi will have to redo the schedule again. Though it will increase the budget the brilliant filmmaker will not take any back steps as Heeramadi is his dream project.
The ensemble cast includes Aditi Rao Hydari, Manisha Koyirala, Sonakshi Singha, Richa Chadda, Sharmin Segal, and Sanjeeda Shaik. SLB is producing the web series which will be streamed on Netflix this year.
