The child artist turned Superhero owes it to his hard work; the artist lives a dream he worked for. HanuMan, a superhero film, could have been possible as the cast and the team poured their blood and sweat, claimed Teja Sajja several times in various promotions and interviews.
In a recent conversation with the cast, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Vinay Rai, Boddupalli Srinu, a.k.a. Getup Srinu, and Teja Sajja, the team revealed that Teja Sajja is yet to undergo an eye surgery as one of his eyes is majorly injured.
When Hanumanthu’s friend and Teja Sajja’s co-star gives an address about a lens, Getup Srinu further asks the Superhero to articulate what happened. “We availed a lens, we were unable to find the same coloured lens in any brand, we had to use that 25 rupees quality lenses, so I have used it for about 80-90 days in the film, as we filmed for all those action sequences, in order make my eyes turn red, I used a lot of glycerine, I must have used about 3-4 bottles of glycerine for this film. To express that emotion, I used to hold that glycerine to perform the scene; once the filming ended, my eyes began to turn red, and I used to experience a lot of itching in there, and I couldn’t take the light. I couldn’t read the subtitles, so I visited a doctor.” The actor disclosed that after a thorough examination, the doctor suggested it was because of the lens, which has caused about 70 per cent damage to one of his eyes.
The actor also shared that he will undergo the cornea surgery (reportedly Keratoplasty) after the film’s release. HanuMan has already sold all the premiere shows for 11th January 2024. HanuMan is set to hit the theatres on 12th January 2024 in Hindi, Telugu, Spanish, Korean, Japanese, Kannada, Malayalam and Tamil. The film stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Teja Sajja, Samuthirakani, Amritha Aiyer, Vinay Rai, Getup Srinu, Satya and many more established actors.
