Genelia Deshmukh who was once a star actress in Tollywood is now again busy doing back to back films in Marathi. Her recent film Ved registered a blockbuster and brought back the actress to the limelight. Meanwhile, the actress is busy with an OTT film Trial period.
In an interview, Genelia said that she agreed to do the Trial Period just within a few hours of script reading and explained the reason for it. The actress said, “When I decided to start work again in Hindi, I got this script. Usually, when I get a script, I take time and read it in intervals. But with the Trial Period, I finished reading the whole script in one and an hour. I found it fresh and unique. Something that interests me instantly”.
Talking about the lack of family content in OTT, the actress further added, “Riteish and I are pretty confident that this is what people have missed- like sitting together and enjoying. I see a lot of films and shows on OTT, and I can’t involve my kids with me very often. So India is about that. It is about celebrating movies together. Films have been part of our family celebrations. We either watch a movie together on Sunday or go out to the cinema. This has been a tradition in many households for years. I hope to see films that we grew up watching.”
Meanwhile, it is to be noted that films like Rana Naidu received a lot of controversy recently for its adult content in OTT.
