A new version of FIFTY FIFTY’s latest single “Cupid,” which features Sabrina Carpenter, has been released. Carpenter contributes her voice to the upbeat pop song on the tune titled “Cupid Twin Ver.” Since its initial release in February, “Cupid” has broken records and become a TikTok phenomenon. The track became the highest charting song by a K-pop girl group at Top 40 radio, and the group became the quickest K-pop group to ever enter the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Fifty Fifty, comprised of Sio, Saena, Aran, and Keena, collaborated with Kaliii last month on the bubblegum pop song “Barbie Dreams,” which is featured on the Barbie soundtrack. The band sings about Barbie’s beautiful, plastic life in the song. When they sing, the lyrics go, “When I close my eyes/ It’s a fantasy/ Perfect plastic life in a magazine/ Then when I wake up, it’s reality.” The album “Barbie Dreams” was Fifty Fifty’s first significant release following “Cupid’s” internet breakthrough. Last year, they also released the EP The Fifty.
Carpenter, on the other hand, has spent much of the year on tour. She was forced to postpone a performance in April at the Keller Auditorium in Portland because of a “credible security threat” moments before she took the stage. She at the time posted a message on social media saying, “I can’t tell you how much it breaks my heart. “The last thing I want to do is this,” Emails I Can’t Send, her most recent album, was released in 2022.
Carpenter will accompany Taylor Swift on the Eras Tour later this month for many stops in Latin America. This year, we are taking The Eras Tour to Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil. Swift made a post on Instagram. Sweet angel princess @sabrinacarpenter will join us on all of the shows, she said.
