Ravi Teja starrer Eagle was also scheduled to release in theatres for Sankranti but was later postponed. In the last few days, it has been speculated that the makers of the film are planning to delay the release date and officially announced backing away from the Sankranti race.

The makers have officially announced that they are stepping back from the Sankranti release. Eagle will be released in February now, and the makers released a statement that the audience appreciates the delay in the film’s release.

Sankranti and Pongal festivals are coming next week, with many films releasing in both Telugu and Tamil regions; major releases in Telugu include Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram, directed by Trivikram Srinivas which is said to be a masala entertainment film, also the 28th film of the superstar released after Sarkaru Vaari Paata.
