Divyendyu Sharma recently answered fans’ questions about if he could make a surprise comeback in Mirzapur 3.

Mirzapur 3 will return for a third season, as confirmed by Prime Video last week. Divyendu Sharma’s dark portrayal of Munna Bhaiya made a significant influence on the show.

The actor redefined himself with the show after portraying the innocent Nishant Agrawal nicknamed Liquid in Pyaar Ka Punchnama.

In a recent interview with Humans of Bombay, he responded to fan theories regarding his likely reappearance in the crime series.

During his chat, he was questioned if he was making a surprise comeback as Munna Bhaiya, since there have been numerous fan speculations. Divyendu responded, “I’m not a part of season 3 folks. I understand it’s a heartbreak…I loved such conspiracy theories; they were true. But on Humans of Bombay, I’ll admit that I’m not a part of Mirzapur Season 3.

Mirzapur Season 3: Kaleen Bhaiya, Munna Tripathi Are, 55% OFF

 

Divyendu portrayed gangster Akhandanand Tripathi, also known as Kaleen Bhaiya’s son Munna, or Phoolchand Tripathi. Pankaj Tripathi portrayed his father in the show.

His character clashes with Ali Fazal’s Guddu Pandit after murdering the latter’s wife and younger brother, played by Shriya Pilgaonkar and Vikrant Massey, respectively.

Although Guddu killed Munna in Season 2, people expected Divyendu’s return in the much anticipated  third season.

Actor made his Bollywood film debut with Aaaja Nachle. He later appeared in movies such as Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Chashme Baddoor, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Batti Gul Meter Chalu, Thai Massage, and Madgaon Express. The actor was also praised for his work in the web series “The Railway Men.”

 

Mirzapur 3 stars Vijay Varma, Rasika Dugal, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Harshita Shekhar Gaur, Sheeba Chaddha, Shernavaz Jijina, Rajesh Tailang, Anjumm Sharma, Priyanshu Painyuli, Manurishi Chadha, Isha Talwar, and others in key parts.

Both series are now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
