The highly awaited film, Bazooka went on floors on 10 May in Cochin. The movie, starring Mammootty, is being directed by debutant Deeno Dennis and is helmed by Theatre of Dreams and Saregama’s Yoodle Films. The film also features filmmaker Gautam Vasudev Menon and Shine Tom Chacko.
Reports have now emerged that Divya Pillai & Iswarya Menon have been roped in to play pivotal characters in the film. While Divya is recognized for her performances in Oozham and Kala, Iswarya Menon has also only appeared in one Malayali film till date. Bazooka will mark the actress’ second Malayalam movie.
The posters for the film were unveiled last month and created a buzz on the internet with Mammootty’s new look. The music for the film is produced by Midhun Mukundan and the technical crew includes Nimish Ravi and Nishad Yusuf.
Speaking on the film, Mammootty said, “It is nice to come across a script that takes you by surprise and grabs your interest instantly. ‘Bazooka‘ is an action film but it is also a game of wits and has strong, well-etched characters. It is a very well-constructed, taut script and I am looking forward to the filming process because I know my character will take me on a very interesting journey.”
