Disastrous film of the year award goes to…

Tollywood has three disastrous theatrical releases this month- Ramabanam, Agent and Shakuntalam.

Even though each film came up with different storylines, none of them were as expected for non starters to begin with, given utter poor performances at screens. Even though storyline seems to be engaging at few scenes it is a loss of money in venturing for these films for the market rate of these actors. Apparently, for investing in these kind of films producers have to shift to 2bhk flat after their revenue from these films. All movies not even per crossed more than 10% given the budgets for films as following,

RAMABANAM film’s Budget was 50 crores while the movie only collected around 3 crores and Agent movie’s budget is 80 crores and only collected 6.5 crores as their respective closing shares.

Both movies couldn’t even collect 10% of it’s budget making history and holding bar high for coming flop films this year to reach. Colossal disasters for distributors and huge loss for producers even after including non Theatricals. Oops seems like Shakuntalam broke the records by only collecting 5% of movie’s budget where movie’s budget-80 crores and closing share lasted at 4 crores. While these actors are busy shooting with their upcoming movies, Producers are still trying to revive the money they invested in these films.
