In the early hours of Tuesday, Deepika Padukone made an impressive entrance at the Mumbai airport wearing a massive camouflage jacket. Many people who saw a video of her appearance online noted that she appeared to have passed American singer-songwriter Jason Derulo, who was standing directly at the gate, without noticing him. He also doesn’t seem to have spotted her as he was facing the entrance gate.
A paparazzi posted a video of Deepika on Instagram from the airport, and several followers noticed Jason Derulo standing at the entrance gate with his back to Deepika while wearing all-black clothing. After a brief halt to grin for the photographers, she seemed to have continued walking past him on her way to her flight. Jason, who is well-known for his top hits like Wiggle, Speak Dirty, Want to Want Me, It Girl, and the Jalebi Baby remix, had travelled to India for business.
“Did she ignore Jason Derulo?,” a commenter on Instagram asked in reference to the video. Someone else remarked, “Hahaha Jason Derulo! A helpless man is ignored. Another remarked that Deepika probably didn’t know who Jason Derulo was, calling it a “queen move.” Others criticised Deepika for being overdressed and remarked on her choice of overcoat. She had worn the identical dress a few days prior, however, she had turned it inside out this time.
