Crew sequel
Crew sequel starring Kareena Kapoor, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon is finally on the cards. Producer Rhea Kapoor confirmed in a recent conversation.
Rhea expressed her belief that this film has the potential to be an enjoyable sequel due to its open-ended conclusion.
Despite her apprehension towards sequels, Rhea stated that the success of the original film naturally paves the way for a Part 2.
Fans who think Rajesh A Krishnan’s heist comedy Crew ended too abruptly may be in for a pleasant surprise.
In an interview with Variety, co-producer Rhea Kapoor said that they have a sequel idea and are considering making the film into a franchise. Tabu, Kareena Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon play the key parts.
Ektaa and Rhea also confirmed that they’re working on a sequel to their 2018 buddy film Veere Di Wedding, which starred Kareena, Swara Bhaskar, Sonam Kapoor, and Shikha Talsania in the lead.
They claimed that the box-office success of that film prompted them to make a bigger movie with women in the forefront and release it on a holiday weekend .
“It’s a work in progress, but it’s happening and it’s exciting. It’s going to take a bit, but I feel like we’re getting there.
Earlier, Kriti told PTI in an interview that she’s hoping to reunite with Kareena and Tabu for a sequel. “People have been loving it. We would genuinely love to be back and do something fun.
Obviously, it puts a lot of pressure on the writers. It’s the audience that motivates the makers for a sequel. When they love something so much, you feel you can definitely do something next. So, hope so,” she said.

“I’m fearful of sequels, and Ekta (Kapoor, co-producer) gets irritated with me… But this is the first time I finished a film and a week later, my writers messaged me to say they have an idea for a sequel. I was like, this is insane. This is ridiculous, she further said.
There’s so much excitement and joy surrounding this film that I might just do it. But, because the ending is open-ended, I believe this film may make an excellent sequel,” added Rhea.
Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon’s Crew continues to dominate the box office with a novel humorous twist and a bit of heist drama.
The film has been a huge success since its March 29 release, earning ₹43.75 crore in its first week alone.
Crew’s performance skyrocketed in the second week, with a spectacular jump that brought its domestic total to Rs 100 crores.
